This project assesses the prevalence of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and low health literacy in primary care. The Clock Drawing Test (CLOX) is used to evaluate executive control and visual-spatial praxis. The study aims to understand how cognitive impairment impacts medication adherence and how well clinicians assess cognitive function in older patients.
A national survey of ambulatory medical care services, analyzing patient visits, diagnoses, treatments, and demographics. DC PrimCare PBRN will use this data to compare its practices to others nationwide and guide future research.
